Spend summer in the wilderness of Jack London and Robert Service.

Employment
Open from early May to mid-September, the summer season and workloads are based on tourism and the cruise ship schedule.

Housing
Skagway housing is generally not available on the open market.  We have a few beds available but not enough to go around.

Pay
Each position pays a competitive rate.

Seasonal Bonus
A seasonal bonus is made in writing and given after successfully completing the season.

Training
Training will be provided for all positions. In addition, some positions require a State of Alaska Food Handlers card.  Those handling alcohol are required to pass the State of Alaska TAMS training.

Employee Perks
Reduced or free admission to local activities (i.e, railway, float trips, ziplining) are available. Time off to hike the Chilkoot Trail (usually a 4-day event) available with advanced notice. Additional perks include:

  • Half price on all menu items served in our restaurant during non-peak business hours.

  • A 40% discount on merchandise at Lynch & Kennedy, depending on availability. 

  • Deeper discount on remaining merchandise at the end of the season.

  • Chef / Baker / Prep Cook / Dishwasher

  • Bartender / Server

  • Hotel Manager / Room Attendant / Housekeeper

  • Tour Guide / Gold Rush Singer / Piano Player

  • Salesman / Shipper

  • Data Entry Clerk

  • Gardener

Eligibility
We are able to hire individuals that are legally able to work in the United States: which includes US Citizens (all types), and J-1 Visa applicants; unfortunately, we are not considering H2-B Visa applicants.
